Throughout my 25-year career in software development, I learned the importance of having good time management skills.
There was simply no time to waste in a busy IT shop where I would be a part of many projects. Finding desk time in my week full of requirements and design meetings was a challenge.
But the work had to get done and to do the work, I needed to be at my desk.
So I made time management a part of every Monday morning so I could slate out time to actually do the work of the projects we were planning and designing.
When I started my business as a side hustle to my demanding career, I found those time management skills I learned at work, translated directly to my business as time was very limited.
